Getting Here & Check-In

Q: What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is after 1:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Flexible times are available upon request.

Q: How do I get to Champagne Campsite?

We're located 17km from Greyton. The road to the farm is a dirt/gravel road, but even small cars should be able to reach the farm without issues.

Accommodation & Facilities

Q: What should I bring?

  • Fresh drinking water (water at the campsite comes from the reservoir)
  • Electrical cord for power (10-20 meters)
  • Braai utensils
  • Firewood is available on request before arrival

Q: What amenities are available?

Only cottage accommodation includes clean bedding and towels. Please note: We do not have a shop on the farm or supply ice. Also note that the cottage is located close to the Complex A campsite.

Q: Are pets allowed?

Small dogs only are welcome on request. Additional fee: R100 per dog per day. Dogs must be kept on leash and cleaned up after.

Q: Is the property child-friendly?

Yes! The farm has plenty of space for children to explore. Please supervise children near the river and farm areas at all times.

Q: Site capacity and limits

  • Maximum 4 persons per site (R100 extra per additional person per day)
  • Only 1 caravan/campervan per site
  • Only 2 tents per site
Working Farm & Cottage Information

Q: What should I know about the farm?

The campsite is located on a working fruit farm. All activities required on a fruit farm will resume as normal, including spraying, labour, and tractors moving around. This does not affect the camp, but should be kept in mind. Over weekends there is almost no movement on the farm. Guests will be informed if any activities will affect their stay.

Q: What about the cottage?

The cottage is close to the campsite and located next to an irrigation pump. The pump runs during the week. Guests will be informed beforehand if the pump will run during their stay.

Q: What activities are available on-site?

  • River swimming and picnicking
  • Nature walks through the orchards
  • Bird watching
  • Stargazing at night

Q: What attractions are nearby?

We're ideally located near Greyton with hiking trails, the Saturday morning market and plenty of excellent restaurants. Ask Fourie for personal recommendations!

Booking & Payment

Q: How do I make a booking?

You can book directly through our website using the NightsBridge booking system, or contact us via email or phone. We recommend booking in advance during peak seasons.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

All bookings are made with EFT payments preferred. With all direct cash deposits, an additional R50 fee will be charged.

Q: Can I host a party or celebration?

Yes! You are welcome to use the venue for a party or celebration, but you need to book the whole campsite. Our Bush Camp is ideally suited for parties, but The Orchard is also available for glampers. Please enquire about fees.

Q: Are day visitors allowed?

No, we do not allow day visitors.

Terms and Conditions
Booking Terms

By making a booking at Champagne Campsite & Cottage, you agree to the following terms:

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation
  • A deposit is required to secure your booking
  • Rates are quoted in local currency and are subject to change
  • Special requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed
  • You must be 18 years or older to make a booking
  • Only 4 people per site - extra person is R100 extra per day
  • All bookings made with EFT payments preferred. With all direct cash deposits, an additional R50 fee will be charged
Property Rules

To ensure all guests enjoy their stay, please observe the following rules:

  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM - NO loud music
  • No smoking inside any buildings
  • Respect nature: Stay on designated paths and dispose of litter properly
  • Fire safety: Only use designated fire areas and fully extinguish fires
  • Maximum occupancy: Only 4 persons per site (R100 extra per additional person per day)
  • Vehicles: Only 1 caravan/campervan per site
  • Tents: Only 2 tents per site
  • Pets: Small dogs only, must be kept on leash and cleaned up after (R100 per dog per day)
  • Respect your fellow campers at all times
  • No day visitors
  • Working farm: The campsite is located on a working fruit farm. Keep in mind there will be spraying and working activities during the week, limited over weekends
Liability & Responsibility

IMPORTANT: All facilities, the river, and farm are used at your OWN RISK. Champagne does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss, damages, injuries, or theft.

Guests are responsible for:

  • Any damage caused to the property during their stay
  • Their own personal belongings and valuables - keep valuables locked away at all times
  • The safety and supervision of children in their party
  • Following all safety guidelines, especially near the river and farm areas
Deposit Terms

Your deposit is for:

  • Any damages to your site or bathroom

You will forfeit your deposit if:

  • You supply incorrect bank details
  • You depart after 11:00 AM
  • You do not clean up after your dog
Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your information is used solely for booking purposes and improving our services. We do not share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • More than 60 days before arrival: Forfeit 25% of the deposit
  • 31-59 days before arrival: Forfeit 50% of the deposit
  • 0-30 days before arrival: Forfeit 100% of the deposit
  • Cancellation Fee: R250 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations
Refund Process

Refunds will be processed as follows:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing time is typically 7-14 business days
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed
  • Bank processing times may vary depending on your financial institution
Changes to Bookings

Modifying your booking:

Changes to dates or accommodation type are subject to availability. Please contact us at least 14 days before your arrival date to request changes. A modification fee may apply depending on the nature of the change.

Early departure:

If you need to leave earlier than planned, please inform us as soon as possible. Unfortunately, refunds are not provided for early departures.

Extraordinary Circumstances

In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, government-mandated closures, or other force majeure events), we will work with you to:

  • Reschedule your booking to alternative dates
  • Provide a credit voucher for future use
  • Offer a full refund if rescheduling is not possible

We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.
